(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 22 - The police arrested a 22-year-old from Savona as part of an anti-terrorism operation in a radical right-wing environment contiguous to supremacist matrimony terrorism. The suspect is accused of having constituted an association with the aim of terrorism as well as having carried out propaganda and incitement to crime for reasons of racial discrimination aggravated by denial. 12 searches were also carried out against people close to the 22 year old in the cities of Genoa, Turin, Cagliari, Forlì-Cesena, Palermo, Perugia, Bologna and Cuneo. The counter-terrorism operation is aimed in particular at radical right-wing circles contiguous to supremacist terrorism. The investigative activity, directed by the Genoa public prosecutor's office, is conducted by the Digos of Genoa and Savona and by the Service for the Contrast of Extremism and Internal Terrorism of the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police-UCIGOS.
