Youth vaccination campaign begins:

Clalit Health Fund announced tonight (Friday) that it will start vaccinating against Corona teenagers born in 2003 and 2004, starting tomorrow in accordance with the guidelines of the government and the Ministry of Health.

According to the HMO's announcement, starting on Saturday evening, HMO customers in these yearbooks will be able to make appointments for vaccination on the HMO's website, app or service center or visit the vaccine centers accompanied by one of their parents and an identity card.

Also, starting this coming Sunday the vaccination will be carried out by prior appointment.

The HMO also said that to date we have vaccinated over one million and 300,000 of its customers.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health approved the start of the vaccination of youth between the ages of 16 and 18 in preparation for matriculation and screenings for the IDF. Defense Minister Bnei Gantz responded:

"Education must be our top priority, after we have made sure that the teachers are vaccinated, we must make sure that the youth can hold the matriculation exams and return to the frameworks as soon as possible."

In recent weeks, the vaccination campaign across the country has expanded to other age groups, with in recent days vaccinations for people aged 40 and over starting after most of the at-risk populations and the elderly population have been vaccinated.
