VIDEO Covid-19: British couple marry in hospital before being transferred to intensive care

Severely affected by Covid-19, Elizabeth Kerr and Simon O'Brien united at the hospital in Milton Keynes, England.

It was not the ceremony they had planned.

However, it was at the English hospital of Milton Keynes that Elizabeth Kerr and Simon O'Brien got married, six months before the date initially chosen.

The two in their thirties contracted Covid-19 at the start of the year.

Their oxygen levels dropped dangerously, so they were taken to hospital together, then separated into different rooms.

“The nurses came to me in the ward and told me that Simon was going to be transferred to intensive care, and that they could not delay him,” says Elizabeth.

It was then that she told them about the wedding plan. The medical staff rushed to make this union possible, a few hours before the transfer. They have since found themselves in the same Covid unit. The health of the newlyweds is improving, even if they are still on oxygen.
