Vivendi firmly intends to grow in the press and publishing.
On Friday, the media and entertainment giant controlled by Vincent Bolloré announced that it had acquired 7.6% of the capital of the Spanish media group Prisa listed in Madrid.
A stake purchased for 52 million euros, not on the market but from the HSBC bank, which wishes to separate from a block of nearly 9% of the capital.
The operation is interesting in several respects.
It first confirms Vivendi's manifest interest in the press.
After the takeover a month ago of Prisma Media, heavyweight of magazines in France
(Current Woman, Télé Loisirs, Capital, GEO, Gala ...)
, from the German Bertelsmann, the French group is setting foot in the parent company of
