Family members said goodbye to the world-famous magician Siegfried Fischbacher with a memorial service.
His sister Dolore and his brother Marinus Fischbacher came together in his birthplace of Rosenheim.
"It's a familiar and very small gathering because of the pandemic - and we want it in peace," Dolore had previously told the dpa news agency.
Shortly after the death of her brother last week, she said about the funeral in Siegfried Fischbacher's adopted home of the USA: “He will probably be buried over there like Roy too.
Everything on a small scale - that's how I imagine it. "
Mourning in the baptistery
In the church where Siegfried had also been baptized, a funeral arrangement of white flowers and a photo of the magician were placed.
According to Bayerischer Rundfunk, Pastor Andreas Maria Zach recalls happy meetings with Fischbacher.
We laughed a lot and often.
Siegfried Fischbacher, who wrote show history with his long-time partner Roy Horn as "Siegfried & Roy" with white tigers, died of cancer on January 13 at the age of 81 in Las Vegas.
