study
, for the Semaine du Son, 82% of the 1,008 people questioned say that music helps them keep their spirits up in these difficult times.

For 78% of them, listening to sound allows them to escape to forget the confinements.
It brings back memories of a more carefree time to 75% of the panel and 74% say that it allows them to let off steam.
On the other hand, recorded music only partially compensates for 44% for the closure of cultural venues.
Good news for concert halls, which are still desperately awaiting a sign from the government.

Among the most popular styles for keeping morale up during the pandemic, the French variety tops the list with 47% favorable opinions.
It is followed by pop (31%) and rock (29%).
Classical comes fifth with 18%, just behind disco (21%).
More surprisingly, rap, which usually reigns over streaming, is only tenth with only 9%.
And to drive the point home, it is at the top of the musical genres that lead to morale, with 30%, overhanging in this category raï and metal (both at 20%).
19% of 18-24 year olds, the style's core target, are of the same opinion.
They prefer to privilege the pop, acclaimed by their age group at 33%.
