(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, JAN 24 - The Israeli government has approved, on the proposal of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, the closure of Ben Gurion airport for flights arriving and departing from tomorrow night until Sunday 31 January - end of the covid. The move was supported by all ministers except that of the Immigration Absorption Pnina Tamano-Shata which, according to the media, described it as "unreasonable" to cancel scheduled flights for those who want to emigrate (aliyah) to the Jewish state. The decision was made to prevent the entry of mutated versions of the virus and against a possible launch of an Israeli vaccine-immune variant. (HANDLE).
