Prof. Dror Mevorach, Director of the Corona Department at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, describes an impossible reality in the Corona Intensive Care Unit at the hospital and warns of life-threatening Corona patients, who are in a difficult and critical condition due to the unbearable load that could result in loss of life.

We have 34 inpatients in intensive care. In practice this means deciding who to women.

Did you hear well?

Yes. There are no more beds and it has to be decided whether Mr. Cohen or Mr. Levy will be respirated in intensive care or just a ward. And in wards outside Corona it is not possible to receive Mr. Mizrahi in intensive care even though he is respirated.

We have to tell the truth. It is our duty.

Prof. Mevorach told Israel Today: "We do not have enough intensive care beds. We have to decide between one master and another master who will receive the bed. There is a very large increase in the number of difficult and critical corona patients. We have 34 corona patients in life-threatening intensive care, "Another 55 corona patients are in critical or critical condition, who are not in intensive care. It is a heavy burden. The doctors and nurses are doing their best with great dedication, but it is a state of continuous overload, which can lead to a life-threatening condition for some patients."

Prof. Mevorach added: "Our staff has limited strength. We can not provide everyone with an intensive care bed as we would like. We decide who deserves more, and if others need a soul then breathe in other departments. It is less optimal. I have to look for the best conditions. "Good for every patient. I can not say that it is an optimal situation because of the overcrowding and because of the competition on the beds."

On the condition of the disease, Prof. Mevorach said: "I hope that in a week the number of patients in critical condition will decrease following the closure and continued immunization of the population. At the moment it is not the best treatment as I like to give patients and as they are entitled to receive. "Being in this situation. Medical care is declining in quality. It is dangerous and could be life-threatening."

Prof. Mevorach also referred to the repeated violations by some of the ultra-Orthodox public of the quarantine and the Corona directives: "At this time, making riots is like having a revolt in the middle of war. "In order to cooperate to save lives. This is an emergency. It hurts me about the police, even though they do not always wear silk gloves, but they try to protect us all."
