The scenario:

Sharks in front of East Frisia.

Investors are gaining ground on Norderney on a large scale, local politicians are apparently also involved in the island sell-off.

Falke (Wotan Wilke Möhring) follows an old friend (Franziska Hartmann) to the North Sea;

the woman tries to uncover the business as an investigative journalist and was threatened.

East Frisia as an object of speculation?

Doubts creep over the inspector as he stumbles after the angry reporter across the rugged island.

The highlight:

Beyond the Jever advertisement: The corruption plot serves as a hook for the portrait of a woman who looks as rugged and uncontrollable as the wintry North Sea off Norderney.

That has nothing to do with the relaxed gentlemen in the beer spot.

The picture:

Barriers in the dunes.

Luxury apartments are to be built in the untouched nature.

The journalist rages against the civil engineers - they threaten that they would call the police right away.

The policeman Falke stands at the bars and is embarrassedly silent.

The dialogue:

The reporter and Falkes colleague Grosz (Franziska Weisz) sit in a hotel bar and indulge in memories of Afghanistan, where one worked as a journalist and the other as a soldier.

Commissioner: "Where have you been?"

Reporter: »Herat.

Kabul.

I just had to think about it earlier.

Because one always hid in the hotel.

And then you always ended up at the bar. "

Commissioner: “We didn't have a bar.

Alcohol does. "

Reporter: “Those were crazy parties, weren't they?

So intense and uncompromising.

Fear of death can also have something liberating. "

The song:

"Homesickness" by Freddy Quinn.

Runs as Falke, Grosz and the reporter flambé their schnapps in the rustic, cozy hotel bar, blow out the flame and then exen the glass.

Punk rocker Falke whispers with satisfaction: "This is exactly my music here too."

The review:

7 out of 10 points.

Although this »crime scene« is psychologically rough in places - a visually effective island shocker.

Scary East Frisia.
