could therefore contain metallic foreign objects.
The corresponding products were sold
in
four federal states
.
Gera - Again and again the most diverse products are recalled due to production errors, sometimes they can even be life-threatening.
The Thuringian large bakery
Sternenbäck GmbH
recalled some of their products on Friday, January 22nd, due to an
impending danger
to the consumer.
Some rolls could
contain
metal
particles, as the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety informs.
Recall: "Metallic foreign bodies" in baked goods - eight types affected
The "metallic foreign bodies" could specifically be
screws and washers
, as the company announced.
Consumption of the baked goods could therefore quickly become a serious risk to the health of the consumer.
Possible consequences could also be internal bleeding and
injuries
and, in the worst case,
suffocation
.
As reported by the Berlin Federal Office,
eight different types of bread
are said to be
affected by the recall.
More precisely, it concerns the double rolls, multigrain rolls, wholegrain rolls, round potato rolls, Kaiser rolls, rolls, party rolls and the raisin rolls from the Thuringian manufacturer.
However, only products that were sold between
December 20th
and January
21st of
this year are being recalled.
Pastry recall: four federal states and 260 bakery branches affected
The recall applies only to the federal states of
Thuringia
,
Saxony
and
Saxony-Anhalt
.
In Baden-Württemberg, only the
Sternenbäck Kaiser rolls
are said to be
affected.
According to the company, the affected batches have already been withdrawn from the market.
Three bakeries and 260 bakery branches in Baden-Württemberg, Brandenburg, Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt work for the large-scale bakery Sternenbäck.
Should consumers return the affected products in the respective branches, they will be
refunded
the
full purchase price
.
There is also a recall for a baby food from Edeka, where there is a risk of injury from broken glass.
A popular breakfast muesli was also recently recalled, with warnings in particular of the threat of suffocation when consumed.
Carcinogenic and highly toxic pesticides seemed to contaminate a vegan dip, which is why the product was also withdrawn from the market.
