Wasn't »Star Wars«, the saga of the star wars once invented by director George Lucas, about the fight of the noble Jedi knights who fight against the anti-enlightenment and evil by means of a spiritual, humanistic »power«?

However, some fans of the film, television, comic and book series, which has since grown into a blockbuster franchise on various platforms, seem to have not yet fully internalized this: Krystina Arielle, a young African-American actress (including »Denver by Night«) became a victim insulting and racist tweets after she was announced by the “Star Wars” makers as the hostess of a web show starting next Wednesday for the new, already popular comic and novel series “The High Republic”.

On the official Twitter account of the “Star Wars” universe belonging to the Disney group, the new family member immediately jumped to the side with support: “Our community is one of hope and inclusion.

We do not stand for bullying and racism.

We support Krystina Arielle «, the team tweeted on Saturday to its 4.8 million followers.

On January 18, on Martin Luther King Day in the USA, the Lucasfilm crew responsible for Star Wars spoke out on Twitter in favor of standing up for justice and equality in every corner of the galaxy.

Previously, Krystina Arielle had posted some of the offensive comments she received on her own account.

Apparently, some users, called by their new "Star Wars" popularity on the scene, quoted some of their Twitter messages from last year and accused the actress of racism against whites.

In the course of the "Black Lives Matter" protests and demonstrations, Arielle had written, among other things, that whites in the USA often make it too easy for themselves to apologize for systemic racism against blacks if they do not promote it with ignorance anyway.

For this she was insulted with insults like "ghetto hair" and degraded to the black quota woman in the "Star Wars" cosmos.

The last 24 hours were "not the greatest", wrote Arielle on Twitter.

The diversity of skin colors and origins has always been part of the DNA of "Star Wars", as early as 1980 the black Billy Dee Williams played a significant role in the blockbuster movie "The Empire Strikes Back", dozens of different ethnic groups populate the intergalactic scenes of fantasy Universe, including countless non-human.

Nevertheless, the Afro-British actor John Boyega had to endure violent racist accusations on social media just a few years ago when he played one of the leading roles in the restart of the cinema series in "The Awakening of Power", as he said in an interview last year.

And so the fight against the dark forces goes into another round.
