If you grew up on movies like "Peter Pan" and "Dumbo," your kids may not be able to see them.

Disney has blocked cartoons for children under the age of seven, after it was alleged that they contained "offensive and stereotypical content".

The Disney + streaming platform offers a subscription for children, from which the films "Peter Pan", "Dumbo", "Cats at the Top" and "The Swiss Robinson Family" were removed, according to the Daily Mail website.

The 1953 film "Peter Pan" features Native American tribes called "Redskins (Redskins)," which is probably why the film was dropped from the selection.

In the film "Dumbo" from 1941, there is an abusive scene towards African-Americans, in which black and faceless workers dance to the sounds of an abusive song, in which it is said, among other things, "When we get our wages, we spend our money immediately."

In "Cats at the Top" from 1970, a cat is presented with stereotypical characteristics in her face and name and an Asian accent.

The 1960 film "The Swiss Robinson Family" features pirates appearing in "Yellow Faces" and "Brown Faces" and features a variety of offensive stereotypes, including foul language and offensive gestures that portray people of Asian or Mediterranean descent in a negative way, according to the blackgirlnerds website.

According to Bazafid News, a scene from the movie "Fantasy" has been deleted, in which a dark-skinned centaur serves his light-skinned friend.

In October of this year, Disney began broadcasting a statement for 12 seconds before a number of films that were allegedly racist or offensive, including "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Jungle Book."

Among other things, it reads: "This program contains negative descriptions and / or incorrect assumptions about different cultures."

The decision to remove films from children's appointments was made by a group of outside experts, who were brought in specifically to assess whether the content "represents global audiences."

These films are available to adults, but before they are broadcast, the above statement is presented.

The Disney website said: "We can not change the past, but we can admit it, learn from it and move forward together to create a tomorrow that today can only be dreamed of."
