(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JAN 25 - Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, together with the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, would be the three Italian regions to be colored with 'dark red' and to be subjected to the obligation to test and quarantine in order to travel in the EU.
This is what emerges from a first simulation on the latest data collected by the ECDC, dating back to 17 January last, and on the basis of which the new map of the contagion in Europe was designed, previewed by the European Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders during today's press conference. .
If the data of January 17 were confirmed, these regions would end up in 'dark red' because they presented a cumulative number of cases exceeding 500 per 100 thousand inhabitants in the last 14 days, the limit beyond which the EU decided to insert the new color to signal the high level of contagion risk.
In detail, Friuli Venezia Giulia presented a rate of 768 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the Autonomous Province of Bolzano 696, Veneto 656 and Emilia-Romagna 528. (ANSA).
