Harry Potter Comes to the Small Screen: The Hollywood Reporter website reports that a TV series based on the popular fantasy books is in the development stages by the streaming platform HBO Max.

According to the report, officials at Warner Media, which owns the rights to the brand, have already contacted a number of writers and talked to them about various creative ideas, with the aim of transferring the plots of the world-famous young magician to the TV screen.

The series is in the early stages of development and currently no writers or actors are known to take part in the coveted project.

Sources at HBO Max responded by saying that "there is no Harry Potter series in production stages in the studio or on the streaming service."

This is a valuable cultural property for HBO and the Warner Bros. company, which along with writer and creator JK Rowling, hold the rights to the brand.

The seven books in the series and their immense popularity led to the production of eight Hollywood-based films based on them, which grossed over $ 1 billion worldwide.

This is a particularly important step for Warner Media, which like many entertainment giants in the production and content market today, are strengthening their streaming services.

The HBO Max service was launched last year and contains some of the company's strongest brands.

Among other things, the platform is home to all of DC's comic books, along with their daughter series, as well as the sitcom "Friends," "Game of Thrones."

The service also features all of HBO's original series, including the '90s hit series "Sex and the City," which was recently revived in new episodes, starring three of the four original actresses.
