Barely online on Netflix, “Destiny: The Winx Saga” becomes number 1 ahead of “Lupine”. From a successful 200s animated series

The stolen thief!

Even Omar Sy and his “Lupine” had to bow to “Destiny: The Winx Saga”, which has just robbed them of the number one spot in the Netflix rankings.

An arrival with fanfare for this new fiction, inspired by “Winx Club”, an Italian-American animated series from the beginning of the millennium, broadcast here on France 3, then in the youth programs of other French channels.

“Destiny: The Winx Saga” stars Bloom, 16, a very pretty redhead like no other.

Like a certain Harry Potter, the girl was born into a family that could not be more classic.

Him in the suburbs of London, she in California.

It will take 16 years for the girl and not 10 like the little wizard, for her to learn that she is a special child.

Better than that, Bloom is a fairy!

And of course, she is endowed with magical powers that she will have to learn to master.

Her parents believe her in a boarding school in Switzerland, but it is in Alféa, the kingdom of the fairies that the teenager returns to school.

At the School of Magic, a magnificent castle surrounded by nature - the series was filmed in Ireland - Bloom will discover who she really is.

He will also have to learn to master his gift of manipulating fire.

In this boarding school full of teenagers where a tangy atmosphere reigns which evokes alternately "Harry Potter" and "Riverdale", the young girl sketches this new world with her new fairy friends.

A beautiful boy, a wicked fairy and monsters ...

Among them, Aïcha, who controls water, Terra, nature, and Mussa, who detects emotions.

There is obviously a handsome boy whose heroine will fall in love, and a wicked fairy as plague as worrying.

As in Harry Potter, this pretty, almost perfect world finds itself threatened when, after 16 years of absence, the "Brûlés", monsters supposed to have disappeared, make their return ...

If the plot is not very original, it is very easy to get carried away by this well put together fantastic series for teens.

Of course, we are a little bit unsatisfied in terms of magic, but the sets are sumptuous and the characters endearing.

They are worn by a nice gallery of young actors, including Abigail Cowen, spotted in "The New Adventures of Sabrina", who plays Bloom.

A family series that can be watched from 12 years old, because the scenes with the monsters do not push us under the covers!
