(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 26 - The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, received the President of the Council of Ministers Prof. Avv.


   Giuseppe Conte

this morning at the Palazzo delQuirinale

, who resigned from the government he chaired.

The President of the Republic - announces the official note of the Quirinale - has reserved the right to decide and has invited the Government to remain in office for the handling of current affairs.

The consultations will begin tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday 27 January.

The consultation calendar will be announced through the Press Office.
