This January 26 marks the first mourning anniversary of

Vanessa Bryant
, the wife of the former basketball player, continues to remember them as from the first day she said goodbye to them.
Through her account on Instagram, Vanessa shared an emotional letter she received from a young woman named
Aubrey
, one of her daughter Gigi's best friends.
"Today I received this sweet letter from one of Gianna's best friends, Aubrey. I love you Aubz (as my Gigi would call you). Thank you so much for wonderfully sharing some of your memories of my Gigi with me and allowing me to share them here," she wrote alongside the image in which the letter is appreciated.
"My Gigi is amazing and I really appreciate your thoughtful letter. She loves you so much. I also miss my baby Kob-Kob so much," Vanessa added.
"I will never understand why / how this tragedy could have happened to such beautiful, kind and amazing human beings. It still doesn't seem real. Kob, we got it right. Gigi, you still make Mom proud. I love you!" Kobe's wife message.
In the letter Aubrey wrote you can read: "My mind constantly thinks of her beautiful daughter. Her smile and attitude push me to be better. You have probably heard this, but if I ever become a mom, I hope my daughter turns out exactly like yours".
In this way, the young woman described the great love and admiration she has for Gigi, as well as the sadness she feels after her departure.
"There are times when I get into a pit of despair thinking about her, and what she could have accomplished if she had had a couple more years. But recently I've been thinking about the mark she left on this earth."
"Her struggles for equality in sport caused the world to reconsider its views, she and Bryant put the wheels in motion. Also, Aubrey ended her letter by praising Vanessa as a mother.

For the past few days, Vanessa also took to Instagram to share how she is dealing with the pain of losing her husband and daughter.
