Amanda Gorman became the shooting star of the inauguration of Joe Biden with her poem "The Hill We Climb".
Her appearance was considered by many to be the high point of the inauguration, her works are already bestsellers, although they will not appear until next autumn.
Now the 22-year-old from Los Angeles has signed a contract with IMG Models, reports the industry journal "Hollywood Reporter".
The agency should take care of advertising contracts and photo series in magazines.
A literary agency, an entertainment agency and a law firm are also said to be working for Gorman, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
After praise from celebrities like Michelle Obama and photos with Bill and Hillary Clinton, Gorman's social media followers skyrocketed.
7,000 Twitter followers grew to 1.4 million, and 3.1 million people now follow her on Instagram.
Gorman was also optically noticed at the inauguration, the contract with IMG Models is conclusive.
The red hairband provided by the Prada fashion brand was sold out, reported the fashion magazine »Vogue«.
The jewelry is likely to be more difficult for fans to get: the earrings had given her US talker Oprah Winfrey.
