About 20,000 hospital civil servants, not affected by the “Ségur de la santé”, should receive 183 euros more per month.

About 20,000 hospital civil servants, who remained on the sidelines of "

Ségur de la santé

", will finally receive the 183 euros net of salary increases from July, several unions said Wednesday.

The agreement negotiated last summer had left aside social establishments and medico-social services, for which "

specific work

" was planned.

The subject had become a point of tension in the fall, including with the signatory unions of “

Ségur

”.

Discussions resumed at the end of the year with the senior official Michel Laforcade, commissioned by Prime Minister Jean Castex.

As the amount of the increase was already known, it remained to be determined who would benefit from it and when.

The last meeting on Monday confirmed the principle of an increase on July 1, first in the form of a bonus, then as an "

additional index treatment

" from January 1, 2022 - the measure will appear in the next budget of the Safe.

The 17,000 officials from services "

attached

" to hospitals (such as homes and homes for disabled adults) will be affected.

Some 7,000 agents of "

autonomous

"

structures

(medical-educational institutes, child protection) should also benefit, if the executive gives the green light.

The budget would be around 65 million euros per year, for an increase of 230 euros gross per month.

A memorandum of understanding will be sent to the unions before the next meeting scheduled for February 3, which promises to be consensual.

"

We do not succeed in all of our demands, but the government has taken a step, which must now be concretized

", told AFP the secretary general of FO-Santé, Didier Birig.

Her Unsa counterpart, Françoise Kalb, also welcomes "

a step forward for all the forgotten

" in the public sector.

Even the CGT-Santé recognizes it: "

Unquestionably, things are progressing

", she wrote in a press release, where she nevertheless regrets that a parallel negotiation on the non-profit private sector does not succeed because "

nearly half of the employees remain excluded from the measure

”.
