In his usual press conference to report on the epidemiological situation in the City of Buenos Aires, Health Minister Fernán Quirós considered that

"the delivery of vaccines is unstable"

and that they need "security in communication so as not to generate expectations."

plan in stages of vaccination

against the coronavirus with Sputnik V in the City. 

"We want to be very rigorous, transparent and precise in communication and that is why we have decided to communicate in detail the stage of the vaccination plan that we have in operation at all times," Quirós began warning and marking a clear difference with the registration plan of the Buenos Aires province that is already open although the doses have not arrived in the country from Russia.

And he reinforced: "We will

announce each stage when we know that the flights to Moscow

."

How will the vaccination be in the City:

- First stage:

Health personnel.

- Second stage

: It will be aimed at adults over 70 years of age and those who live in residences for the elderly.

- Third stage:

Adults between 60 and 70 years old.

- Fourth stage:

Strategic personnel who are in direct relationship to the community such as the security forces, those who work in territorial devices, human development, community kitchens and teachers.

- Fifth stage:

People with risk factors who are between 18 and 60 years old.

- Sixth stage:

Other strategic groups that the nation has arranged where we will have vaccination for the people of the City government.

Then, the minister explained that "there are

130 thousand people who work in health

and live in the city of Buenos Aires" and that up to now they have completed "the application of all the doses that the City received."

In this sense, he reported that "

24,208 people were vaccinated

and 92 vaccines were discarded due to technical problems."

"As of

today we have zero vaccines of the first component because we have already vaccinated health workers from the first line

. They delivered on January 19 the second component that came on the second flight, they have assigned us 24,300 doses that we will do to 21 days after the application of the first component. We have already applied the second dose to 3,515 people, "explained the minister.

Beyond the planning of the City, the minister took care to clarify on more than one occasion that

For the beginning of the second stage, which corresponds to those over 70 years of age and those residing in geriatric hospitals, it will be necessary to wait for the completion of the vaccination of health personnel.

Health personnel will be vaccinated at the City's vaccination centers, but those who reside in nursing homes "will be vaccinated on the spot."
