(ANSA) - MILAN, JAN 27 - The UniCredit Board of Directors has unanimously identified Andrea Orcel as the next Chief Executive Officer, to be included in the list of candidates for the renewal of the Board, replacing the outgoing CEO, Jean Pierre Mustier.
The list will be presented for approval at the next shareholders' meeting on 15 April.
Having obtained the approval by the shareholders' meeting, the board will confirm his appointment as Chief Executive Officer.
"Andrea Orcel is a solid international leader, highly respected and committed to achieving results together with his team", underlines the designated president of Unicredit, Pier Carlo Padoan. Orcel "has extensive experience and an extraordinary capacity for strategic vision, which he notes will be essential to guide UniCredit in the future.
