The Covid-19 variant first identified in Great Britain has been detected in 70 countries so far, 10 more in the last week. This was announced by the WHO in its latest epidemiological update. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - GENEVA, JANUARY 27 - The variant of Covid-19 identified for the first time in Great Britain has been detected so far in 70 countries, 10 more in the last week.

The WHO reported this in its latest epidemiological update.

The South African lavariante is present in at least 31 countries, 8 more in a week.

Yet another variant, discovered in Brazil, has spread to 8 countries.
