For the time being, "lateral thinking" initiator Michael Ballweg wanted to withdraw - to protest against the Corona measures again in the spring.
So he announced it on Christmas Eve.
But just under a month after its announcement, the "lateral thinkers" from Stuttgart, now being observed by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, demonstrated again.
After a break of several weeks, in the opinion of the Baden-Württemberg Minister of the Interior, the Corona protesters, increasingly influenced by extremists, marched through Stuttgart city center in a car parade.
According to the police, several hundred vehicles took part in the parade that stretched several kilometers through the city.
According to the registration, the organizer expected up to 300 cars.
Ballweg had called on his supporters to take a break from the big demonstrations at Christmas and asked not to take part in demonstrations in Berlin at the turn of the year.
The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution assigns several key players in the "lateral thinking" movement to the milieu of Reich citizens and self-administrators who deny the existence of the Federal Republic and negate democratic and constitutional structures.
The Stuttgart-based group "lateral thinking 711" is something like the nucleus of the now nationwide active Corona protest movement.
Ballweg is also criticized for his financial behavior.
In August, SPIEGEL reported how Ballweg was benefiting financially from the movement.
