A tragedy occurred in the last hours in Cariló, on the border with Villa Gesell.
There, the driver of a UTV vehicle
ran over a motorcyclist who was walking without a helmet
through the dunes and caused him brain death.
The victim's family decided to donate the organs.
The incident occurred last Sunday in an area where various tourists and locals usually meet to ride a motorcycle.
According to official sources, on this occasion, a man who was in a vehicle authorized to walk through the dunes, could not avoid the motorcycle rider, who was without a helmet.
After the accident, which occurred in an area with difficult access, the young man, identified as Matías Mares, a 24-year-old tourist, was taken to the route by his friends and then transferred to the Pinamar hospital in an ambulance.
On Wednesday night

For this reason, the victim's family decided to donate the organs and after a major operation they were transferred to INCUCAI.
According to local media, the UTV driver
fled as
soon as the event occurred, but a day later he appeared before the police in Pinamar.
It is unknown if he was detained, although he was already identified in the case labeled homicide.
UTV vehicles and quadricycles must meet a series of regulations in the municipality of Pinamar and on the Atlantic coast in order to circulate.
One of them is to do it exclusively in the permitted areas, in certain safe lanes or corridors.
