The Ministry of Health today (Thursday) published updated guidelines regarding the vaccination of pregnant women.

The main recommendation concerns the timing at which pregnant women are advised to get vaccinated.

"The first trimester of pregnancy (regardless of coronary heart disease) is characterized by a relatively high rate of bleeding, miscarriages and the formation of fetal malformations," it read.

"In order to avoid suspicion, even accidental, between receiving the vaccine and these symptoms, we recommend that pregnant women who do not belong to the risk groups be vaccinated from the second trimester."

Another guideline concerns putting the aforesaid amniocentesis test: "It is advisable to avoid performing the vaccine around the time of the acupuncture (preferably an interval of at least one week between vaccination and acupuncture) in order to avoid fever or other side effects, which may be construed as an acupuncture complication."

The document was signed with the following instruction: "Due to the severity of the corona disease and its severe injury, we reiterate and recommend to the entire population, especially women of childbearing age, pregnant women and lactating women, to continue to adhere to social distance rules and mask pen and thus reduce risk of exposure and infection."

Meanwhile, during the day, three Corona patients were reported to have been connected to an Acme device.

Two of them are hospitalized in Beilinson and the third was transferred today to Sheba Tel Hashomer from another hospital.

Menashe Goldis, whose wife Miriam fell ill in Corona during her pregnancy and is still hospitalized at Laniado Hospital in Netanya, spoke to the media this morning.

"The situation is not simple and I do not wish it on anyone," he said.

"We believe and in the end we will all be smiling together. I have a message - friends, we are in a time of war. You have to be really careful. What is not essential and urgent, you will avoid it. It is in our hands, our power in our unity."
