'FABIO - Take it or leave it' is the title of the documentary film that will be on Timvision from Sunday 31 January.
Produced by TIM TV and DAO, it tells the rehabilitation process of Fabio Fognini after surgery on both ankles last May.
An event that put a strain on the athlete, after the victory on the red clay of Montecarlo in 2019 and the arrival in the Top 10 of world tennis in the same year.
The dark moments away from the pitch, the family, the advice of Flavia Pennetta, his wife, the first steps, the rehabilitation work in the pool.
In the 90 minutes of the docufilm the sequences of the operation and recovery alternate (also told with video-selfies made by the champion), with the testimonies of the team, the physical trainer, the coach Barazzutti, the friends of the circuit like Novak Djokovic and Davis Cup companions.
Fabio's 'friends' also enter this Real Life story, such as the former Inter captain Zanetti and players like Cristian Vieri.
The Ligurian champion also relives the best moments of his career, the most complex ones of his character and confesses: "Tennis is my life, it has allowed me to become the person I am and to create the family I have always dreamed of. This is why it is so important to me. "
In the docufilm ample space is reserved for private life and its victories.
From the story emerges not only Fognini on the field, but above all that in everyday life.
