Did they go a bit fast?
The question arises after the publication, Thursday evening, of a press release from Innova Medical Group, a Californian laboratory which produces antigenic tests, announcing in detail a scientific experiment and the presence of 1,300 spectators at the next Victories of music, on February 12, at the Seine Musicale, in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine).
This would be the first of the test concerts that have been discussed in recent weeks.
In December, in Barcelona in Spain, a musical evening was held in front of 500 people, with masks but without social distancing.
Several of these experiments are being studied in France, particularly in Marseille, in partnership with Inserm, with two concerts one week apart at the Dôme in front of 1000 people.
The I AM group has announced its participation, but so far no date has been put forward other than the months of March or April.
Another is being studied at La Cigale in Paris.
In Boulogne, it is about 1300 people, argues the press release, which states that a "complete file was presented to the authorities on January 28 to obtain the possibility of carrying out this experiment".
And to indicate, again, that Jean-Yves de Linares, the general director of the association of the Victoires de la Musique, has, in parallel, filed "a request to the prefecture for authorization to receive the public during of the 2021 edition of the Victories ”.
Two tests five days apart
Conceived with PH Expertise, a specialist public health firm created by Dr Martin Blachier, the presented protocol will require an antigen test at the entrance of the room to spectators who are professionals in the music sector.
Only negative people will be able to enter.
This will be followed by a questionnaire sent to all spectators by SMS on D + 2 then a second test on D + 5 to detect any contamination.
The results of the experiment would be made public on February 22.
“The experimentation of the antigenic tests of the public during the ceremony as mentioned in the press release of the laboratory Innova Medical group is currently under study.
It is the subject of a request for authorization from the competent authorities ”, for their part argue the Victories in a short text published urgently.
“Several scenarios are envisaged in compliance with sanitary conditions and antigenic tests remain one scenario among others.
No decision is taken at this stage ”.

This is one of the working hypotheses, there are several, including that of not having an audience, ”we still squeal, pointing to“ a nice comedy ”for the laboratory.

"This is what could be put in place and what, to date, has not yet been validated, all of this is conditional of course", she procrastinates, insisting on talking about "a scientific medical experimentation ”and not of a simple concert.

She agrees, everything has accelerated a little, going a little beyond the organization of the Victories facing a fait accompli, after a speech by Dr. Blachier on CNews presenting the experiment.
