Itzik David, who was portrayed as a "sting" in an article in News 12, sent a warning letter about a lawsuit in the amount of NIS 640,000 • "The reporter's close friend initiated the article"

Itzik David, who was presented last September in an article in News 12 as a serial sting, is threatening to sue the news company for NIS 640,000, due to a "conflict of interest and disregard for the rules of journalistic ethics."

David sent a warning letter against the company and reporter Adva Dadon, he also demands an apology in the main edition of the channel.

A press release issued this morning (Sunday) on behalf of David under the headline "Responding to War" reads: "About four months ago, a Channel 12 reporter, Adva Dadon, published two articles about Mr. Itzik David in the Corners' Corner. The articles damaged Mr. David's credibility. "The articles, according to the warning letter sent recently by Mr. David through his attorney, Adv. Avishai Peretz, are full of inaccuracies and lies, based on unilateral evidence without reference, and their publication also raises questions about journalistic fairness."

As mentioned, in September 2020, News 12 aired an article as part of Dadon's familiar corner, "The Crooks."

The article claims that David's name has been linked to various sting cases over the years, and that he chose to continue to sting customers even during the Corona period.

According to the article, he planned to pocket it through the public company Public Line, which he set up to close old debts, which he carried from previous businesses, but was registered in another person's name (since David was declared bankrupt). Personalize the revenue from the company, thereby avoiding payment to suppliers and employees under it.

A letter on David's behalf claimed that most of the response he provided to the allegations raised in the television article was not presented to viewers of the edition.

In addition, it was written that "the reporter's mother-in-law runs a public relations firm that competes with the company where Mr. David worked," and that "the reporter had a personal interest, with her close friend Tom Sharaf initiating the article, due to a debt of a company where Mr. David was employed In him as responsible. "

It was further alleged that the article was one-sided, and that "the two companies in which Mr. David has been employed in the last twenty years have had many satisfied customers, whom the investigation chose not to attend. After the articles, a party was held on behalf of 'injured' Mr. David, starring Adva Dadon."

"As part of the publication, and even earlier, my client was portrayed as a crook and as someone who deceived people," the defamation warning letter issued by David's lawyer said.

"My client's presentation as a crook and as someone who deceived and deceived people was made without a factual examination and in fact without any examination. (She) relied on the words of a third party without question supported by a difference of evidence.

The notice also reads: "The publication includes false statements that do not contain a shred of truth."

News 12 reported:

"We are fully behind the investigation.

The crooks with Adva Dadon will continue to stand bravely in the face of people who cynically and maliciously exploit innocent Israelis. "
