(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JAN 31 - Donald Trump is without lawyers one week after the trial for his second impeachment.
Five of the lawyers chosen by the former president to defend him have discharged him for "differences" on the strategy to follow.
The tycoon's obsession with electoral fraud would be the reason the lawyers decided to take a step back.
Butch Bowers, Deborah Barbier, Josh Howard, Johnny Grasser and Greg Harris wanted to base their defense strategy on the idea that it would not be possible to impeach a president who was no longer in office.
A roadbreaking by Trump, according to which his defense had to be based only and exclusively on the denunciation of mass fraud at the elections.
An unbridgeable divergence especially in front of the obstinacy of the tycoon who, unwilling to hear reasons, preferred to be downloaded.
But now for Trump, the situation is getting complicated as times are tight and the lawyers out there who want to be associated with his name and his theories are few, if not very few.
'The Donald' at the moment is strong only from the support of a part of the Republican party, which continues to support him with drawn sword and is fighting for his acquittal.
