Since the Warner streaming service HBO Max recently announced that it would be relaunching the cult series “Sex and the City”, there has been a lot of excitement: Some are eagerly anticipating the reunion with Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes (Samantha Jones will no longer be there other fans are skeptical: will this revival really work?
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker, who has been awarded two Emmys and four Golden Globes for her role as Carrie, says there is always enough material.
Carrie, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) are New Yorkers in their 50s in the new edition of Sex and the City.
In a conversation with Vanity Fair, Parker, who doesn't yet know the details of the new scripts herself, has the following questions: Where do women stand in today's world?
Which paths did you take?
How is your relationship with social media?
Miranda and Charlotte are now teenage mothers, what is Carrie's job?
Is she still writing a column or books?
Does she have a podcast?
Have friendships changed?
What mistakes did you make?
How do women find their way in world events, how are they doing in times of Corona?
Parker doesn't say a word about Carrie's love life, unfortunately.
"And Just Like That" is the title of the "Sex and the City" continuation.
Ten half-hour episodes are planned, and shooting should start in New York in late spring.
When asked whether Corona was also an issue, Parker replied: "Of course."
