Temporalities are constantly mingled in this three-beat waltz which shows that if the family falters, the super friend is faithful to the post.

At the start of Season 7, the hierarchy is reversed.

Demoted by the new commissioner, Holt is once again a field cop and Peralta is now his boss.

This new dynamic is just as encouraging as before.

"Capitani"

Luxembourg is coming to Netflix with this promising detective series.

The first season takes us to the north of the Grand Duchy, a rural region, where the weight of church and traditions is still very much present.

A police duo is tasked with investigating the death of a teenage girl, found dead at the bottom of a cliff, and the disappearance of her twin sister.

During the investigation, they lift the veil on heavy secrets.

Here, everyone is watching and seeming guilty.

All in Luxembourgish dialect.

Hoping that the series is as strong as the novel and that it will play with the same intensity with the nerves of the viewer.

With always so much sensitivity, the series combines fascinating medical cases and explores more the private life of its protagonists in a tone where humor and tragedy go hand in hand.

"The Bold Type", season 4

The feminine and feminist series about three young women in New York is finally back.

Once again, she takes up topical issues to spice up the lives of her heroines, two of whom are still employed by the women's magazine "Scarlet", and the third, she has just been fired and is looking for a new one. job.

Harassment at work, LGBTQ issues within the Republican Party, reconciling professional life and motherhood, the right not to want a child, are all issues addressed in this season 4. The fiery debut of the series is somewhat attenuated , but “The Bold Type” remains very endearing.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

"Soulmates"

We're in the near future, and a company is developing a scientific test to determine who your soulmate is, the person you will love most in the world.

Each episode of the “Soulmates” series follows different characters in their decision, or not, to take the test, whether they are single or already in a relationship.

Between beautiful stories, moral dilemmas, scams and the complexity of love, the series highlights the advantages and disadvantages of such a system which can turn into a nightmare.

Strongly reminiscent of "Black Mirror" (available on Netflix), some episodes of "Soulmates" are more successful than others.

Available February 8.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3.5 / 5

"The Boarding School: Las Cumbres"

A boarding school perched on the top of a cliff and bordered by a thick forest welcomes difficult students, and imposes on them a strict education, without hesitating to fall into abuse.

A student uses a cell phone in the middle of the night: her hair is trimmed.

Two teenagers are fighting in a hallway: they are locked in a dungeon.

While some try to escape, mysterious and dangerous presences are felt around the establishment.

Remake of a successful Spanish series broadcast from 2007 to 2010 (which had also been the subject of a French adaptation, "l'Internat" in 2009 on M 6), "l'Internat: Las Cumbres" promises to make shiver.

Available February 19.

MYCANAL

"Paris Police 1900"

A woman has disappeared and the trunk of a female body is found in a suitcase floating on the Seine.

A young inspector of the Crim leads the investigation near a confirmed cop and a lawyer, while the prefect of police Lépine takes again service to restore order in Paris.

In the midst of the Dreyfus affair, revolt is brewing, anti-Semitism is well established, anarchists are on the lookout, and women who are fighting for their survival are serving as snitches for corrupt police officers.

Between thriller and politico-historical series, the fiction written by Fabien Nury (“Guyana”) plunges into the meanders and violence of the society of the Belle Epoque through different characters, some of whom have existed.

The careful reconstruction is up to the task.

It remains to appreciate the harshness and the darkness.

"Pablo Ibar: A life on borrowed time"

An innocent man on death row, the scenario shivers down your spine.

Inspired by real events, the series tells how Pablo Ibar was convicted of the murder of three people, in Miami, in 1994. Nothing accuses him, except a poor quality video, on which the face appears stealthily. of someone who looks like him.

We follow his struggle, as well as that of his relatives, to leave death row.

We come out of these four episodes stunned, struck by the violence of the implacable American judicial machine.

Not recommended for people under 10 years.

Available February 16 (for Polar + subscribers).

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

OCS

"Search Party", season 4

Censored in the United States since its release in 2016, the series “Search Party”, a thriller with corrosive humor where social satire is never far away, nevertheless remains confidential in France.

Hopefully this season 4 will make a difference.

This time, it's Dory, one of the young girls of this gang of friends who has disappeared, kidnapped by a psychotic admirer, who tries at all costs to convince her that they are the best friends in the world.

Available February 2.

Disney +

"Treasures under the sea"

There is something fascinating about diving underwater in an attempt to unravel the mystery of these submerged worlds.

The documentary series, of unequal interest and sometimes a little spoiled by a sensationalist staging, makes it possible to disentangle the myths and reality of the Bermuda Triangle, to (re) discover the secrets of the Titanic and the wrecks of war, of s' immerse yourself in the dream cities of Alcatraz or Port Royal.

First part available from February 5, then February 12.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3/5

"Big Sky"

Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt are two private detectives.

When they learn of the disappearance of two teenage girls, they decide to investigate alongside Jenny Hoyt, the ex-companion of the second and former cop, to find them as soon as possible.

Especially since apparently other young women have disappeared in the region recently.

The script for this race against time is written by David E. Kelley ("Ally McBeal", "Big Little Lies") and locates its action in the state of Montana, where the great expanses contrast with the usual urban settings of televised thrillers .

If Ryan Philippe, (who plays Cody) is the most famous face of the series, it is the women Kylie Bunbury (Cassie) and Katheryn Winnick (Jenny) who carry this breathtaking series if not very original.

Available February 23.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3.5 / 5

"Love, Victor"

Released in the summer of 2018, the film "Love, Simon" had seduced the public around its secretly gay teenage hero who made up his mind through correspondence on the Internet with another homosexual student.

The series "Love, Victor" takes the same plot and the new hero, Victor, this time corresponds with Simon, that of the film, while assuring him that his personal story has nothing to do with his.

Of Colombian and Puerto Rican descent, Victor's family lived in Texas before moving to Georgia, and this conservative, religious entourage complicates the hero's life.

A little too predictable, the series is downright charming.

Available February 23.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3.5 / 5

"Black-ish", seasons 1 to 5

Praised by the Obama family, “Black-ish”, an event series on the other side of the Atlantic, is finally released on another platform after its broadcast on Canal +.

She humorously depicts the daily life of an African-American family in a chic suburb.

Funny and well thought out, she doesn't hesitate to put her foot in it when she talks about the clichés surrounding blacks.

A series that feels good.

Available February 23.

EDITOR'S RATING: 3.5 / 5

"Helstrom"

Marvel series but not related to superheroes like Hulk, Thor or Iron-Man, this very dark series mixed with fantasy tells the story of two young adults, a brother and a sister, whose mother is interned and the father a serial killer!

As worthy successors to their progenitor, the two heirs hunt down the bad guys over 10 episodes, during a season which we already know will not see a sequel.

Available February 23 on Star, accessible via Disney +.

SALTO

"The Sister"

Russell Tovey (“Years and Years”, “Looking”) carries this thriller that takes place over different eras.

On New Year's Eve between 2009 and 2010, a young woman, Elise, disappears.

Three years later, his sister Holly is still looking for him and calls for witnesses on television.

In front of his screen, Nathan Redman is taken aback and contacts her.

Later, in 2019, Nathan and Holly are married, but an old acquaintance of the former resurfaces and it seems that Nathan is linked to Elise's disappearance ... In four episodes, "The Sister" is a relentless thriller that never hesitates. not to add some paranormal elements to offer an original plot.

Available February 4.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

"Monsterland"

Salto draws out this new American horror anthology, broadcast across the Atlantic on the Hulu streaming platform.

The 8 episodes of the first season are inspired by news from an author totally ignored here, Nathan Ballingrud.

Stories passed through the mill by Mary Laws, known for having worked on the series "Preacher" or the film "The Neon Demon".

Anchored in the grim daily reality of today's United States, this anthology (each episode tells an independent story) confronts human beings with frightful creatures, but the monsters are not always what you think!

An interesting attempt at political horror.

Available February 4.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

"Grand Hotel"

Please note, this “Grand Hotel” series is neither the fiction of TF 1 broadcast last September, nor the original Spanish series but its American remake.

Produced by Eva Longoria (who makes an appearance there), this version struggled to convince across the Atlantic and, like the French adaptation, only had one season.

Modern and flashy, this American-style “Grand Hotel” is of little interest, prefer the TF 1 series, also available on Salto.

Available February 4.

EDITOR'S RATING: 2/5

"La Zona"

Three years after the explosion of a nuclear power station in Spain, barbaric murders are taking place in the irradiated area.

Hero of "La Zona", the cop Hector, one of the first to arrive at the scene of the disaster, must face his personal trauma to investigate.

As in “Chernobyl” (still available on OCS), we find in “La Zona” liquidators who spend their days in the exclusion zone to decontaminate it.

Here again, the Geiger counters make us shiver.

Available February 4.

EDITOR'S RATING: 4/5

"Small Ax"

Created and directed by filmmaker Steve McQueen ("Twelve Years a Slave"), "Small Ax" is made up of five episodes, each recounting a different story about immigrants of Caribbean origin in London, between the 1960s and 1980s. as a "collection of films", "Small Ax" has also received the Cannes 2020 label, since the first two parts, entitled "Mangrove" and "Lovers Rock", were to be screened during the festival edition, finally canceled.

In the credits of "Small Ax", we find in particular John Boyega ("Star Wars") and Letitia Wright ("Black Panther").

Available February 26.

APPLE TV +

"For All Mankind", season 2

The series "For All Mankind" rewrites the history of the conquest of space by imagining that the Russians beat the Americans on the moon in 1969. The race and the rivalry between the two countries is only more exacerbated, resulting in advances much more important than in our reality.

Here, women are very quickly associated with astronaut programs, and when season 2 opens in 1983, an American base has been installed on the moon for years.

The political context then leads to a possible militarization of NASA.
