Almost all of Italy now returns to the yellow zone and the controversy over the issue of controls does not cease after the passage of many regions in this zone with the consequent openings

293,000 bars, restaurants, pizzerias and agritourisms have been reopened for table or counter service

survivors of closures in regions now classified in the yellow zone.

This is what emerges from Coldiretti's analysis in reference to the new color map that promotes almost all of Italy, with the exception of Umbria, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily and the Province of Bolzano still orange.

81% of the premises can remain open, but among the regions that can benefit most from the new phase there is Lombardy with the largest number of activities present, about 51 thousand, followed by Lazio with 39 thousand and Campania with 33 thousand .

The reopenings represent an opportunity for the return to normalcy of 47.8 million Italians residing in the yellow regions forced to give up lunch outside the home for leisure or for work, but it is also an important breath of fresh air for the hard-hit restaurant businesses from the restrictive measures that caused a 48% loss in turnover in 2020 for almost 41 billion euros.

The limitations to business activities, according to Coldiretti, must provide adequate and immediate economic support along the entire supply chain, but a reflection is also needed on the possibility of opening restaurants in the evening also in light of the important safety measures adopted, from the spacing of places to sit at the strictly limited and controllable number of accesses, to register the names of each individual admitted customer.

Here Milan -

Lombardy is also among the regions in the yellow band with various activities that are reopening while increasing the freedom of action of citizens who can circulate more and in the municipality without self-certification from 5 to 22. Starting today, 1 February, in fact, in a Lombardy that passes from orange to yellow, museums will also reopen, albeit with different timings: for example, Gallerie d'Italia should be among the first while the Museum of Science and Technology could wait.

Even the return in 'yellow', however, was marked by controversy: "The government's decision to switch Lombardy from an orange band to a yellow band starting from Monday, instead of Sunday, is incomprehensible and takes away a Sunday of oxygen beyond 50 thousand activities "said yesterday the regional councilor for agriculture and food Fabio Rolfi.

Milan, like all of Lombardy, began the week with the entry into the yellow zone and this morning the Milanese rediscovered the pleasure of coffee at the bar, perhaps sitting at the table with friends, or having lunch at a restaurant.

So no more take-away for coffee lovers, like Maria Pia who broke up the morning with an espresso in a bar in the downtown area: "I really missed the coffee at the bar I'm happy, but it's not enough because I would like to move between regions, freedom is always halfway ".

"We are happy because at least there is the possibility of sharing a table with a friend," added Senait as she sips her cappuccino in the company of her friend she has not seen for months.

The rhythms are those of a Monday morning where many Milanese are still smart working: "this morning went but we certainly did not have a queue outside the bar - commented the owner of a bar in the center Gianfranco Marchiò -. Of course this is how we work. better than take-out and we hope to move forward. "

In Brera, the artists' quarter full of restaurants with outdoor tables, already at noon there were those who dined outdoors despite the day being sunless

.

"I would say that it is very nice to go back to lunch out and finally you can breathe a bit of normality - said Francesco -, it almost seems to have returned to a normal life".

For Sophia, on the other hand, "it is wonderful to find such freedom," she said while having lunch with friends.

"We are happy for the reopening and satisfied with the first day - said Grazia, owner of a restaurant in Corso Garibaldi, in the nightlife area -, we hope that the situation will continue better and better. There are many people who have already called us to come for lunch. and there is a great desire to return to normal ".

Mrs. Elide, the owner of the historic Milanese restaurant El Matarel, which has been open for more than 60 years, and which also frequented Bettino Craxi, is not in this mood.

"It is the third time that we open and close. And now we are only open for lunch and we have five people at work - he explained -, if they make me close again I will lower the shutter forever". "We are in the yellow zone, an opportunity that

we must live with a great sense of responsibility

so that the efforts made so far are not thwarted ".

This is the message published on Facebook by the President of the Region Attilio Fontana, on the day Lombardy returns to the yellow zone.

"In addition to the responsibility of individuals - he added - the maximum collaboration of the mayors and the Prefectures is necessary so that they supervise the gatherings".

Here Lazio -

After two weeks in the "orange" area, Lazio returns 'yellow' from today It will therefore be possible to consume food and drinks in bars and restaurants until 6 pm. It is possible to visit museums or exhibitions that reopen to the public from Monday to Friday , but not on holidays.

Admissions will be limited and in compliance with anti-Covid measures.

In the 'yellow' regions it will be allowed to move freely between the municipalities but it will still be forbidden, until 15 February to move from one region to another.

The curfew remains from 10pm to 5pm. A meeting of the provincial committee for order and security in Rome chaired by the prefect Matteo Piantedosi is scheduled this week.

The meeting will take stock of the new yellow zone and the episodes of the weekend with crowded scenes in the center of the capital.

The prefect invites you to keep your guard up, ensuring that checks will continue.

Piedmont returns to the yellow zone from today

.

You can therefore leave your municipalities again, like entering bars and restaurants, but only until 6 pm. A small return to freedom, which also coincides with the reopening - after about three months - of the museums.

"After so many weeks of hiatus it is an important moment of restart - underlines the governor, Alberto Cirio on Facebook - to be lived together with participation, prudence and a great sense of responsibility".

"These are the places that preserve the wealth of our Piedmont - observes the president of the Region about the reopening of museums -. And we are lucky enough to be spoiled for choice: from the Egyptian Museum, with free admission for the whole week, to the Reggia di Venaria where the gardens can be visited for a symbolic fee. But there are so many Piedmontese exhibitions and museums that we will finally be able to go back to admire in every corner of our land which is culture, history and immense beauty ".

The Anci-Cts controversy -

"Enough with the target shooting on the mayors, the Cts thinks to do its part. Blaming the mayors is becoming the new national sport", says the president of Anci and mayor of Bari, Antonio Decaro.

"Miozzo, who accuses us of immobility in the face of crowds in the cities, seems to be engaged in a desperate attempt to remove the responsibilities from himself and place them on the easier objectives, those who by nature and by sense of their duty are used to exposing themselves in first person, always ", underlines Decaro.

"I want to remind Miozzo - adds Decaro - that we mayors are not responsible for the surveillance of streets and squares in the actions to combat the spread of the virus. And that, until today, we have been careful not to hurl ourselves against some questionable choices of the Cts itself. . On the contrary, we have always tried to keep our communities together, now economically and psychologically exhausted, after a year of restrictions. "" I have not challenged the mayors, I have appealed to help the system to control the territory using all the resources available and avoiding gatherings. It was absolutely not my intention to contest the capacity, the function, the competence of the mayors ".

Thus the coordinator of the CTS, Agostino Miozzo replies to the president of Anci

, reiterating that there was "no intention on his part to accuse the mayors of responsibilities other than those they have".

His, he adds, "was a heartfelt appeal because the images we saw last Saturday are of the utmost concern".

Abruzzo returns to the yellow zone after two weeks in orange

.

Cities revive and bars and restaurants reopen to the public, at least until 6pm. While the restrictions are reduced, however, the emergency numbers, especially those relating to new infections, are increasing.

The problems concern in particular the world of schools: there are thousands of people - including students, teachers and collaborators - in quarantine due to cases of Covid-19 in the classrooms.

In Pescara, yesterday, the mayor closed several institutes precisely because of the rapid increase in infections.

In fact, in the Adriatic capital, the virus is circulating rapidly: 912 cases emerged in January, with an average of 30 infections per day.

Many young people and very young people who have contracted the infection.

More generally, the situation is worsening throughout the metropolitan area, from Montesilvano to Spoltore, from Chieti to San Giovanni Teatino and Francavilla.

With the passage in the yellow zone it is now possible to move between municipalities.

Users can also return to sit at tables in bars and restaurants.

Great attention by the police to the areas of clubs and nightlife and, in particular, to the area of Piazza Muzii in Pescara - the most important food and beverage district of Abruzzo - where in recent weeks crowds have often registered for aperitifs and gatherings, despite the bans, after 18, to consume food and drinks in the street and to take away for some categories of activities.

Abruzzo, after almost two months spent between the orange and red bands and after the restrictions of the Christmas holidays, was in the yellow zone only in the period from 11 to 17 January.

Then the transition to the orange band.

Schools reopened on 11 January, but within a few days the first cases in the classroom and the first classes in quarantine emerged.

Up to the present situation.
