In southern Thuringia, carnivalists celebrated an illegal candlestick parade.
Some of the 90 or so celebrants went through Jüchsen in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in costumes, as reported by local media.
The police were on site with a large contingent and finally resolved the illegal event on Sunday, as the MDR reported, citing the district office.
The emergency services issued three criminal charges for insulting and resisting police officers.
Images on the Internet are said to show how police officers handcuff a person lying on the ground.
According to the report, the fools were also traveling in vehicles and at least one horse.

The local carnival club is apparently not responsible for the hustle and bustle, as the "Free Word" reports: The Jüchsen Carnival Club (JKC), like all other clubs in the region, canceled all events.
