How to bake quick apple pockets with puff pastry in the sandwich maker

  • Take the

    puff pastry

out of the refrigerator and let it warm to room temperature.

  • For the filling, put the

    apple compote

    or

    applesauce

    , the

    sugar

    and the

    cinnamon

in a saucepan and heat everything on the stove until it simmered gently.

Set aside and let cool a little.

  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut about two-thirds of it into four equal pieces with a pizza cutter - to match your sandwich maker.

  • Place a cut piece of puff pastry on each of the two square shapes at the bottom of the sandwich maker.

Put about 1 tbsp of the apple filling in the hollows, i.e. in each triangle in the sandwich maker.

Spread the compote a little, but so that the dough edge remains free.

  • Now place a cut slice of puff pastry on top and press it lightly on the edge.

  • Then switch on the sandwich maker, close the lid and let the apple pockets bake for about

    8 minutes

    .

After 5-6 minutes you can open the sandwich maker and take a look.

  • Then turn off the sandwich maker and take out the finished apple pockets.

  • And that was about it.

    Enjoy your

    puff pastry apple turnovers while

    still warm.
