New York paralyzed by snow, in what is one of the biggest snowfalls in the history of the city.
The streets are deserted, only a few brave ventures outside under flakes that have been incessant for hours.
In Central Park, some enjoy sledding.
Mayor Bill de Blasio declared a state of emergency, limiting all movements to only essential ones.
Public transport is haywire and airports are empty.
70-80% of flights at John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark airports have been canceled.
All appointments to get vaccines for Covid have also been postponed: all the maxi-vaccination centers in the city are closed.
"We hope to be able to resume the administration from Tuesday", says de Blasio without hiding his frustration for a new, yet another, setback of the immunization plan, already struggling with many difficulties.
"Stay home. To clean the roads must be clear, there can be no cars on the road", says the mayor, hoping that the situation will improve from Tuesday, when the snow should end in the afternoon.
