The Ministry of Health today (Monday) published a report on the side effects found among the vaccine vaccines against the corona in the first and second injections.

According to the ministry's announcement, as part of the first dose, 6,575 people reported side effects out of 2,768,200 vaccines. Side effects 3,592 people out of 1,377,827 vaccinated. The authors of the report noted that it was interesting to find that women and young people were more likely to report side effects, relative to their share in the percentage of vaccine recipients.

In general, the report states that the reported side effects are similar to those that occur in cases of other vaccines given to the population, and that in the vast majority of cases they were mild and transient. In fact, according to the data, about half of those reported (3,307) experienced local side effects.

The full report

The rest of the cases were general manifestations of physical weakness, which were reported by 2,756 people during the first dose.

The first injection, however, had unusual effects: 287 vaccinators reported neurological symptoms, 165 suffered from allergies and anaphylaxis (a life-threatening allergic reaction), with only 60 people out of the dose receiving suffering from other unusual or requiring further side effects.

In relation to the second dose, a relatively similar picture emerges here as well: 799 people suffered from local symptoms in the injection area and 2,631 people suffered from general weakness and symptoms that are also present in other vaccines.

Regarding neurological symptoms or reactions, only 96 people reported and / or experienced such symptoms.

Only 47 vaccinators suffered from allergies and anaphylaxis, and only 19 suffered from other significant symptoms or those requiring further follow-up.

Examining the reports, it turns out that the age group whose members reported the most side effects is 60-40.

They were reportedly 39-20 years old.

Both of these groups include the vast majority of those who suffered from side effects, with a small group of people aged 60 and over experiencing this as well.

The group that reported almost no side effects were people under the age of 20 (who also had almost no partner in the current vaccination campaign).

What side effects have been reported?

Local responses

Regarding local reactions at the injection site, the vast majority of reports in both the first and second dose were of pain at the injection site.

In a very wide gap, a small minority of people reported redness or swelling and less so difficulty in movement.
