Ingredients

    • 4 ripe bananas

  • For pudding

    • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (400 ml)

    • ½1 ice cups

    • 3 cups sweet cream

    • 1 bag of instant vanilla pudding (80 ml)

  • For cookies

    • ¾1 cups flour

    • ½ Spoon baking powder

    • ¼ as a baking soda

    • ½ Soft butter

    • ⅔ Cup sugar

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 1 egg

    • 1 teaspoon of milk

    • Coarse salt

Preparation

How to make homemade banana pudding?

  • 1 Start with the pudding layer: Mix ice water in a bowl together with the condensed milk, and after about a minute add a bag of instant pudding.

    Put everything together until the lumps disappear and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

  • 2 In the meantime, the cookies are being prepared: "Magnolia" uses "Nilla Wafer", but in Israel they are not available and therefore Napa is a substitute, even tastier in my eyes.



    Preheat oven to 180 degrees.



    Combine in a bowl all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt).

    In the mixer bowl with a guitar hook, cream the butter with the sugar until a smooth, airy cream is formed.

    Reduce the speed and add the egg, vanilla extract and a tablespoon of milk.

    Connect the dry ingredients with the butter mass, put a little and form a ball.

  • 3 Cut the dough into balls about 4 cm in size, arrange them on the baking tray with a little space between them. Using your fingers and gently, lightly mash each ball into a "pita" shape. Bake for about 15-18 minutes, until medium golden (be careful not to dry them too much Remove from the oven and cool to room temperature.

  • 4 Once the pudding mass has crystallized, beat the sweet cream for about 5 minutes until a stable whipped cream is obtained and fold it into the pudding.

  • 5 Now it remains to assemble the dessert: in a serving dish of your choice, arrange layers of pudding cream, topped with cookie crumbs and thin banana slices, and return, God forbid, until the serving utensils are filled.



    It can be served in individual cups, in a triple bowl or in boxes.

    In any case, after assembling the dish, wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.

    Before serving, sprinkle with more cookie crumbs, bananas and you can also decorate with edible flowers.
