High school graduates at seven Nuremberg schools refuse classroom teaching, as reported by Bayerischer Rundfunk.

With the new contagious Corona mutation, it is not responsible for having to choose between education and health, said Ioana Atanasoaie, high school graduate at the Hans-Sachs-Gymnasium, the broadcaster.

The so-called alternating lessons for the final classes in Bavaria began on Monday: part of the class learns at home on the screen, the other part of the class comes to school.

The Nuremberg students demonstrate with their action against this central arrangement of alternating lessons.

The school clerk of the city of Nuremberg, Cornelia Trinkl (CSU), told the BR that she could understand the concerns.

Talks are taking place between the city, the school management and the Bavarian Ministry of Culture.

The Bavarian Philologists Association, the mouthpiece of the grammar school teachers, announced: »Politicians are warning of the mutations and appealing to responsibility, home office is strongly recommended and there is a strict lockdown with curfew.

But the Abitur classes and their teachers should switch to alternating lessons. ”Many teachers and pupils currently feel like“ guinea pigs ”for the Bavarian school opening in mid-February.

The Bavarian State School Council also wants to continue to adhere to distance learning: Anything is better than the daily alternation between face-to-face and distance learning, the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" quotes the student association.

Teachers' associations from Bavaria are joining.

The risk of infection is too great, the effect too little.

In Augsburg, the high school graduates also expressed their displeasure.

On Monday, the first 75 young people returned to their classrooms and, according to the »Süddeutscher Zeitung«, let their headmaster know that they didn't want to be there.

"You gave me a survey in which a large part said that distance learning would have been the better solution," the headmaster told the newspaper.

The fear of damage to health is high.
