After four days of consultations, yesterday evening Fico reported to the President of the Republic that the outcome was negative and that therefore there were no grounds for forming a government substantially composed of the same majority as 'Conte II'.

Following the conversation with the President of the Chamber, having acknowledged the situation, Mattarella gave a speech, of which we created the word cloud, to the nation in which he recalled the times and consequences for the country of a return to the polls.

And shortly afterwards, the Councilor for Press and Communications, Giovanni Grasso, announced that Draghi would be summoned, for today at 12 at the Quirinale, with the aim of giving life to a "technical" government.

We wanted to probe the moods and hot reactions on social media by Italians by examining online conversations relating to three key words: "Draghi", "Mattarella" and "Renzi", the one that the two main shareholders of the last majority indicated as the cause of the failure to reach an agreement to give life to the "Count Ter".

Of the three subjects analyzed, Mario Draghi is the one that generated the highest number of citations.

In the last twenty-four hours there have been just under 98 thousand mentions of Draghi

, by around 10 thousand unique authors, whose contents involved (like + shares + comments) more than 332 thousand people.

Content relating to the former ECB President generated an "opportunity to be seen" of 978 billion impressions, which we reasonably estimate gave rise to 48.1 billion actual impressions, gross of duplications.

This is due to the great media amplification given by online newspapers to the news.

In the conversations related to Draghi there are three subjects that have generated the most involvement.

The Twitter account of the Quirinale that of the comedian Luca Bizzarri and that of Mario Calabresi.

Excluding the Quirinale, which naturally maintains an institutional communication, both the comedian and the journalist expressed satisfaction with the assignment entrusted to Draghi.

Just less than 82 thousand quotes from Mattarella, by 11 thousand unique authors, whose contents involved about 348 thousand people.

In this case, the potential reach, as defined above, was 179.3 billion impressions, which we reasonably estimate resulted in 48.2 billion actual impressions, gross of duplications.

The greater scope of the contents relating to the President of the Republic compared to that of Draghi, despite the lower number of citations, is explained by the greater number of online articles citing Mattarella.

The contents that generated the most involvement were three politicians.

Those of Cottarelli, Gentiloni and Renzi.

Many citations have been dedicated to Renzi, as it could not have been otherwise.

To be exact, there were just under 73 thousand online mentions for the leader of Italia Viva by about 9 thousand unique authors, whose contents involved more than 260 thousand people.

We estimate 11.6 billion impressions that were generated by such volumes of conversations.

The post that generated the most involvement was that of the satirical author "The phrases of Osho" who yesterday morning ironized about Renzi's claims.

The reactions towards the leader of Italia Viva were mainly negative, with 30.2% negative "sentiment".

Appearance that is confirmed both by the hashtag most used in conversations related to Renzi: #RenziPretendeCose, and by the most associated emoji which is the red face of anger.
