A futuristic set, a sort of 'Meccano' between fuchsia, white and turquoise fluorescent bars to wrap the stage.

The stairs, inevitable.

On the sides, the two holes of the orchestra, similar to last year, but wider and longer, up to embrace almost half of the stalls, to allow the distance between the musicians.

Exactly one month from the expected start of Sanremo 2021, the 'stolen' photo of the work in progress at the Ariston theater for the scenography of the festival - signed by Gaetano and Chiara Castelli - makes the rounds of social media and gives an idea of the revolution in progress in the theater to reconcile the needs of the show with the anti-Covid measures, first of all the absence of the public.

Creative solutions but also very strict provisions, which Rai has put pen to paper in the organizational and health protocol sent today to the Technical Scientific Committee, awaiting a response that should arrive within a few days, probably on Friday.

Via the red carpet, no stage in the square to avoid the risk of gatherings, also canceled the presence of the collateral programs, the show will concentrate everything in the evenings.

Amadeus, conductor and artistic director, Fiorello, the singers in the competition, the guests will find themselves in the center of the stage 'flanked' by a part of the orchestra, which will perhaps be able to interact during the moments of the show and will also be involved in the voting on Thursday, the evening dedicated to songwriting.

To arrange the two 'gulfs', 18 rows of armchairs were removed: for a total glance, the director Stefano Vicario will have to use an upper room.

The orchestras will also have their own dressing rooms, strictly individual, located on the top floor of the Ariston - they should be 80 - in the roof garden traditionally used as a press room.

The competing artists - each of whom will have a sound engineer, a record company and the conductor - will arrive at the Ariston ready, transferred directly from the hotels as required by the code of conduct adopted by Fimi, Afi and Pmi.

The theater will host only the festival, Domenica in - which as always opens and closes the Sanremo week - and the Primafestival, which will however be set up on the mezzanine.

There will also be two sets where the correspondents of Rai programs will alternate for the classic stand-ups, but without the usual removal of the various day time broadcasts.

The editing rooms, the spaces for news and columns will be at the Palafiori, which should also house the press room.

Anyone who enters the theater, must have swabbed in the previous 72 hours, will immediately undergo a new test at the expense of the organization, then repeated every 72 hours.

Even the badges will be 'intelligent': at the entrance an electronic system will read the 'qr code' to check that the pad is regular.

The activities are in full swing, but in the meantime the CTS is expected to pronounce.

Only if the experts give the green light, the festival car will be able to get back into motion at full speed, including the enrichment of the guest cast who will focus on great Italian music, also due to the difficulties in traveling linked to the pandemic.

In addition to Loredana Berté and Giuliano Sangiorgi, a couple of veterans such as Gianni Morandi and Massimo Ranieri would have been probed: the first - who won Sanremo but also led it, in 2011 and 2012 - has recently joined Amadeus in the New Year's show, the second - several times a guest in Sanremo, where he triumphed in 1988 with Losing love - has just returned from 'Here is now' on Rai3.
