on Instagram in which they revealed heartbreaking photos of their stay in the hospital.
This Tuesday, death struck again the life of the interpreter.
With deep regret, John took to his Instagram account to break the news of his grandmother's unfortunate passing.
Although the singer did not mention the cause of death, he did want to share this hard moment with his 13.4 million followers and wrote some emotional words in which he remembered how good and generous
Marjorie Maxine Stephen was
, who left shortly after turning 91 years old .
"We are very grateful for the life she lived, for the love she shared with her many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and more. She was the most loving and conscientious grandmother you can imagine," she began by recounting with three endearing photographs.
In the first one you can see the famous seated, hugging his grandmother.
In the second, Marjorie appears carrying what seems to be one of her grandchildren.
Finally, in the third and last image we can see the late lady cooking with the most smile.
"She hosted our annual Christmas celebrations until we literally couldn't fit in her little pink house on Heard Avenue in Springfield, Ohio. She was active and full of curiosity and energy until her last days," continued Legend.
The interpreter of 'All Of Me' assured that his grandmother was an essential part of his life and treasures that she was by his side in the most important moments of his professional career.
"She supported us and supported us unconditionally. I am so happy that she was able to see the fruits of everything she gave us. She traveled the world with us, went to my first Grammy Awards. She got to experience the successes of all her offspring." , he recounted.
Before concluding his moving farewell text, Legend stressed that Marjorie will live forever in the heart of him and his entire family.
In addition, he said he was very grateful to have enjoyed his grandmother to the fullest.
"We are the family that we are, the people that we are because of the love that she poured into us," he said.
"We are sad to lose her, but above all we are grateful for the full and blessed life she lived. May she rest in peace after running a great race," he concluded.
This sad news comes a couple of weeks after Chrissy Teigen organized a quirky contest to celebrate John Legend's 42nd birthday.
Unfortunately this is the second loss suffered by the fellow composer in less than a year.
Fortunately, he has the full support and love of his beloved wife, who, along with his two children, have become his greatest inspiration.
