The Government prepared a special report with which it seeks to
discourage travel abroad by Argentines and residents of the country
.
It did so through a document issued this Wednesday by the Ministry of the Interior through the National Directorate of Migration.
The list details the prohibitions faced by Argentines - and other foreigners, of course - in the countries most requested from here, such as
Germany, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Spain, United States, France, Great Britain, Italy, Norway, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay.
Even so, as this newspaper learned, with the pandemic restrictions and the high value of the dollar in Argentina,
only 5% of those who did so normally are traveling abroad.
"Administration of borders in the world in the framework of the pandemic" is the name of the Migrations document that
Clarín
had access to
.
It recommends "Argentines with intentions to travel" to consult the embassies and consulates of the countries and continue to impose
restrictions on the entry of foreigners
, within the framework of the measures they have against the spread of COVID.
A Migration report establishes what requirements each country imposes to receive Argentines.

And it is published this Wednesday, two days after the new border restrictions were known, the prohibition of access to the country for foreigners or non-residents, unless they are direct relatives, and the extension of the so-called
Preventive and Mandatory Social Distancing until February 28th.
In the Government, they point out that the ministry led by Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro prepared this report on the basis of others that already exist in the world today, such as the one that the
State Department
has, for example
,
which discourages citizens living in the United States to travel to different countries for various reasons.
“Rather than discourage, we advise against traveling abroad in the context of the pandemic unless it is strictly necessary.
Today the conditions of entry to each country and that of international flights change every day, ”said the director of Migration,
Florencia Carignano
, who in addition to extending the border closure, maintained the suspension of flights to and from the United Kingdom and established a
schedule with fewer flights from the United States, Mexico, Europe and Brazil.
“Countries close borders or raise air routes for health reasons and that implies risks for Argentines abroad.
We do not ask you not to travel, but to defer your departure abroad as much as possible until travel conditions are more stable.
If it is for vacations, we suggest that you postpone them or
look for national destinations,
”Carignano said, and assured that the new strains that are causing serious problems in several countries and that have not yet reached Argentina are also a health risk.
"Anything that can delay the arrival of these strains to the country is to the benefit of being able to vaccinate the largest number of Argentines," he said.
The new Migration report indicates, for example, that
Germany does not allow entry to its territory except for natives and residents of the countries of the European Economic Community or Switzerland and their families
.
And it details the sanitary requirements to do so.
In the case of Brazil, it indicates that "flights from South Africa and the United Kingdom were suspended and it does not allow people who have been in those countries in the last 14 days".
It was also reported that Canada prohibited residents from entering its territory, because those who enter must remain in quarantine in hotels for about three days, paid for by the citizens themselves.
Spain limited circulation to citizens of the European Union for special cases until March with certain requirements.
In the case of other nationalities, they enter with medical insurance and
flights from the United Kingdom are not allowed.
While the
United States requests a 72-hour advance PCR from
all those authorized to enter that territory, and prohibits those who travel from China, Iran, the European Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil and South Africa.
For its part, France does not allow entry to those traveling from outside the European zone, and limited their own exits abroad.
Great Britain has banned all passengers who have been in the last few days in a wide list of countries that
includes Argentina
.
And
Italy does not allow the entry of passengers until March 5
, with some exceptions.
Uruguay does not allow the entry or transit of non-resident foreigners unless they are Argentine, Brazilian, or Paraguayan, or resident in these countries but only in transit in Montevideo or Punta del Este.
