The vehicle wins, as is well known, no replacements.

After breaking the network with "In Our Dreams", which even picked up the title of YouTube song of the year for 2020, Dudu Aharon (36) and Eden Meiri (20) continue to collaborate on the song "Why is it over?"

"After the success of 'In Our Dreams,' I sent to refine the new song in my own performance only," Aaron recalls.

"I told him, 'Listen, and you have a record in Tamir Tzur's studio,' the music producer. He replied, 'What are you up to now? I'm busy, I'm in Be'er Sheva.' I told him that as he finishes there, he runs to record, because this is our next duet. He heard the song and said ‘this is totally our next duet.’

”It felt so right, we did not think too much.

If it melts the heart and excites us - it's it.

We act from the heart and not from the mind, if we act from the mind we will probably not release songs, "Eden laughs." I told his uncle immediately - 'It's a missile.'

I immediately fell in love.

And really, when I finished in Be'er Sheva, I went to the studio and on the same day I recorded. "

It seems that you enjoy collaborating.

Eden: "Dudu and I talk a lot about our connection, which comes from a pure place. I feel like Dudu is my big brother, there is no ego and too much talk and such arguments and others about the small details, there is a crazy flow. Once you feel from the heart that this is the right thing to do, do. You do good and don't bother with care, good things happen. "

Dudu: "I've been here more than a decade in my musical career and have done duets, but this connection is something else, there's an amazing synergy here. Eden's voice is a piece of inspiration for me. When I sit at home and write songs I always imagine myself singing, but since we met I imagine him".

how it all began?

Dudu: "I knew Eden, like everyone else, through 'The Next Star.'

Eden: "I arrived at the studio in Tel Aviv and saw his uncle, I got the initial shock of meeting one of my childhood heroes and the people I draw a lot of inspiration from. After I recovered we started to jam the song on the guitar. Ready, everything is flowing. "

How was getting to know one of your childhood heroes?

"I discovered a humble man who opened the door for me from the first second. It is not obvious that such a great artist would do such a thing. 12 years ago my parents went to his show in Caesarea, left me a babysitter at home and now I am recording with him."

How do you survive this difficult time?

Dudu: "During this time I performed at zooms for many companies and workers' committees, I was already used to singing without an audience. It takes a lot of mental strength to stand in front of cameras and sing, but that's part of what I'll tell my girl in 20 years. In the yard until they want to stop (laughs) ".

Eden: "This was exactly my breakthrough, we were supposed to release the first album and in March 2020 it stopped. Luckily, I am a soldier in a military band and perform with my music, so I invested heavily in performances because the army continued to work as normally as possible. I also found myself performing in zooms "And live on TV in shows without an audience, really rubbing shoulders. During the madness, people managed to open a place in my heart and discover me, including his uncle."
