Child bonus
: As in the previous year, families receive a child bonus.
The surcharge on child benefit should be a one-off 150 euros, as reported by the dpa.
It is offset against the child tax allowance, but not added to the basic security.
Last year the one-time payment was 300 euros.

Corona grant and basic security

For the self-employed and employees with low incomes suddenly in need, the easier access to the basic security will be extended until the end of 2021.
Companies and loss carry-back:
As dpa also reports, the grand coalition is giving companies with losses more support: With an extended loss carry-back, they will be able to offset these losses more extensively in their tax returns than before with profits from previous years.
The plan is therefore to double the carry-back of losses - "to a maximum of 10 million euros or 20 million in the case of a joint investment," writes dpa.
VAT and gastronomy
: The reduced VAT rate of 7 percent applies to meals in cafes and restaurants until the end of June.
But: Since the restaurant has been closed for weeks, this is of no use.
Therefore, the reduced rate should continue to apply until the end of 2022, reports dpa on the occasion of the new resolution.
Culture
: The rescue and future program "Neustart Kultur" is being extended, as the news agency also reports.
To this end, a follow-up program will be launched with a further billion euros.
