The Minister of Labor is asking for a meeting "
without delay
" of social dialogue bodies in companies to strengthen teleworking which is declining "
significantly
" in certain branches, she wrote to the social partners.
In a letter "
of mobilization
" sent Wednesday evening to unions and employers, Élisabeth Borne asks them "
to ensure that the social dialogue bodies meet without delay within companies to define the modalities according to which the implementation of the teleworking must be reinforced
”.
She recalls that teleworking “
must be the rule for all the activities that allow it
”.

According to the national health protocol, a face-to-face return is only possible one day a week for employees who express the need.
However, a study carried out by Harris Interactive for the ministry shows an "
erosion
" of recourse to teleworking.
According to this survey, among workers who can easily telework, 36% did not telework the week of January 18 to 24, compared to 30% the week of November 2 to 8.
And the share of those teleworking 100% rose from 45% in November to 30% in January.

Certain sectors have experienced a particularly significant drop
", underlines Élisabeth Borne, who wants "to
have an exchange with the professional branches concerned in the coming days
".
According to the ministry, these are, for example, the banking / insurance, information / communication, audiovisual, legal and accounting sectors.
The strengthening of the effective use of teleworking is part of the measures adopted Friday by the executive to avoid a new confinement.
