(ANSA) - BRUSSEL, 05 FEB - The German Foreign Ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador to Berlin, as a reaction to the expulsion of some European diplomats, including the German one, from Russia.
The German foreign minister confirmed this to ANSA.
Meanwhile, condemnations for the gesture were expressed by the High Representative for EU foreign policy Josep Borrell and by the French President Macron, in conference with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
"I strongly condemn what happened, from the poisoning of Navalny" to "the expulsion of diplomats" from the three countries, Macron said. Poland warns Moscow that the expulsion of its diplomats from Russia could damage relations between the two countries. Sweden has called Moscow's decision to expel a Swedish diplomat on charges of participating in the protests as "completely groundless". (HANDLE).
