Italy's first weekend in yellow is almost upon us

.

Big cities launch ad hoc security plans to avoid the scenes that invaded social networks and newspapers just a week ago, on the eve of the farewell to red and orange.

Crowds and gatherings that, in some cases, have turned into open-air parties and even fights.

In Rome, as in Milan or Florence, controls will be intensified mainly in nightlife places or in historic centers.

In the capital they want to avoid the crowds that were seen last week in particular in the Trident area, in the heart of the city.

Corridors with delimitations have been set up in Piazza del Popolo to make the transit of people more fluid and avoid parking, controls at the Pincio also with patrols on horseback by police and carabinieri.

Access to the Trident area will be limited, with the possibility of closing the Spagna and Flaminio metro stations in case of need.

Via del Corso, the shopping street, will instead be divided into sectors.

The safety device, prepared today following the meeting of the Order and Safety Committee, resumes the one implemented in December, on the occasion of Christmas shopping, but with greater attention to the areas where there were crowds last weekend.

Controls will not be limited only to the historic center, but will also be extended to all areas of the Capitoline nightlife: from Trastevere to Eur, from San Lorenzo to Ponte Milvio, from Pigneto to the university area of Piazza Bologna.

The Ostia seafront is also under the lens.

"The control system of the territory has so far held up thanks to the sense of responsibility shown by the Romans - the comment of the prefect of Rome, Matteo Piantedosi -. We must continue to keep attention".

Checks are clearly visible and intensified also in Milan, where last weekend there were crowds in particular in the Navigli area.

The areas of Corso Como and Corso Garibaldi also end up under the lens of the police forces, in particular to verify compliance with the closing times of the premises, the presence of customers in relation to capacity, the correct use of masks and compliance of the spacing.

In Florence, on the other hand, the mayor Dario Nardella signed the ordinance that imposes a ban on parking in areas with the greatest risk of crowding.

The area affected by the provision, agreed with the prefecture, is included in the perimeter delimited by piazza Beccaria (excluded), Borgo La Croce, piazza Sant'Ambrogio, via Pietrapiana, via Giuseppe Verdi, via dell'Agnolo, viale della Giovine Italia ( excluding).

Limitation of access in streets, squares and other public spaces has also been prepared.

Violations will cost offenders dearly who risk a fine ranging from 400 to 1,000 euros.

"Now we have to deal with the facts - the words of Nardella -: nothing is lost yet, we can avoid going into the upper limit of the restriction, if everyone really does his part and if we further limit the opportunities for contact in every situation. , work, family and fun ".
