(ANSA) - MOSCOW, 05 FEB - The situation that has developed between Russia and the European Union is "unhealthy". This was said by Russian Foreign Minister Serghei Lavrov at the opening of talks with Josep Borrell, his EU counterpart.
"We are both stakeholders of the Eurasian region. Today - he said - we have the opportunity to have a frank conversation between us, to address this point".
For his part, Borrell affirmed that relations between Russia and the European Union have reached "a critical point" also because of the Navalny case. "But we are connected. And despite our differences, building a wall of silence is not an option", added the high representative of the EU foreign policy. (HANDLE).
