The new national contract for metalworkers is coming:
after a long negotiation, which started 15 months ago, Federmeccanica and Assistal and Fiom-Cgil, Fim-Cisl and Uilm-Uil have signed the agreement for the renewal of the national collective labor agreement expired at the end of 2019, providing for a average wage increase of 112 euros on the minimum, when fully operational.
However, the contractual validity is extended: it starts in January 2021 and ends in June 2024 (compared to the normal deadline which would have been in 2022).
For 2020, the adjustment to IPCA inflation on minimums is foreseen, as per the previous contract.
The renewal affects 1.6 million workers.
