Moscow expels European diplomats 'participation in protests'

(ANSA) - MOSCOW, 05 FEB - Russia has summoned the ambassadors of Sweden, Poland and Germany to the Foreign Minister and handed them a note of protest for the participation of some of their diplomats in the "illegal protests" of 23 January, in Moscow and San Petersburg. The diplomats in question have been declared "persona non grata" and will have to leave Russia "in the near future". This was reported in a note from the minister on its website.


    Meanwhile, Stockholm replied: "Completely groundless" Moscow's decision to expel a Swedish diplomat accused of participating in the protests. (HANDLE).
